Having been introduced to the cat fancy from birth, I guess it was inevitable that I would find myself part of the greater cat world later in life. I can remember the days of the closed shows, where everyone was locked out during judging and only allowed back in when the Judges had finished in the afternoon, to find out whether your prized "puss" had done them proud. I do enjoy the open shows as well though, where the Judges comment on the exhibits as they go – makes for an exciting day.

I began my Judging program while I was pregnant with my daughter in 1998 & qualified for Group 1 in 1999. I extended my licence to include Group 2 in 2004 & finally completed my All–Breeds qualifications with Group 3 in 2006.

While I no longer breed, I do help with the continuing success of the Carinya British Shorthair breeding program along with Chris & Terry Merritt. My greatest breeding success was winning Group 3 Kitten of Year with CCCA Ch, Bronze DGC Nevaska Dream Start [Devon Rex] as well as several Devon Rex best of breed exhibits of Year.

While my 2 desexed kids are now too old to be on the show bench or would rather be at home on the bed, I take absolute joy in showing our Carinya children to their very best potential.

Breed Interests: Present British Shorthair and Devon Rex Past: Burmese, Mandalay, Persian, Russian, Foreign White Longhair, Balinese and Oriental Longhair.
