I began my journey into the cat world in August 1975. My first passion was with Persians but before long, I was introduced to the beautiful British Shorthair and after some time, we embarked on the breeding of Exotic Shorthairs on an experimental program. This was very successful and thoroughly enjoyable.

As well as Persian, Exotic Shorthair and British Shorthair, we began breeding Burmese and then embarked on another experimental adventure to breed Mandalay. This was also a very successful endeavour which continued to fuel our passion. We finalised our program though in late 2023 but I miss them to this day. With my husband Terry, and with the support of our daughter Carolynn, we still breed British Shorthairs, many of whom have also had very successful show careers.

I became a Group 1 judge in 1986 and then qualified as an All– Breeds judge in 1992. Throughout these years, I have been very privileged to judge throughout Australia and New Zealand as well as overseas as a guest judge for CFA on many occasions.
